Strategization
Political participation is the engine for every single political campaign, if a politician doesn't have base supporters, the campaign cannot step off the ground. We can use political participation to our advantage, especially through the intertangled medium that the internet is. Universal Healthcare is already a hot topic online with alot of supporters, and it will only increase as people actively voice their experiences and their opinions online. All we have to do is continue to spread information about Universal Healthcare and build a following around that, also encouraging them to educate the people around them. As more and more people become knowledgable and outspoken, the politicians will have to adopt Universal Healthcare or risk their position.
BARRIERS
The reason why political participation is dangerous is because its mostly the elderly and the rich who are actively participating where it counts(voting) statistically. Luckily this barrier can be vaulted if we can encourage the youth and middle age to go out and vote
